SBDM Changes HSU Curriculum

The SBDM council has created  a new High School University curriculum plan that starts with this year’s incoming  Freshmen. Along with mandatory graduation requirements, HSU students will have to complete three years of a foreign language and have an AP-level class each year. Students must also participate in a new leadership class taught by Mr. Krysinski. The purpose of these changes is to create more of a focus within the magnet. At one time, the HSU curriculum was defined by its partnership with UofL, but this aspect of the magnet as lessened in recent years.

“We really wanted to make HSU like it was in the 70’s, with more of a focus on preparing for college,” said Ms. Beth Stottman (Social Studies).
