Envirothon Prepares for Conference

Currently, Envirothon, an academic team that covers current enviornmental issues, is preparing for a conference that will take place from January 6th to the 7th.

The conference will be over the current issue Envirothon is studying: estuaries, which are enclosed bodies of water with connecting rivers and streams. Several cities live on estuaries, thus creating a potential to harm these bodies of water and others that they are connected to by human activity. The conference will give the club the chance to learn more about estuaries and receive help from experts this and other fields.

“We get to talk to people who have jobs in these areas and it is tremendously helpful in learning the information we must know for the Envirothon tests,” said Envirothon member, Brooke Washburn (12).
