The first track meet of the season the Manual Running Rams was on January 22nd, at the UK indoor Nutter Field House.

Cassidy Hale (10) came in first place in the mile and her twin sister, Kristen Hale (10), placed 3rd.  Will Short (11) finished 6th in the mile with senior Reece Johns finishing right behind him in 7th.

The runners enjoyed racing inside in a controlled climate. The track team had been practicing the majority of the time outside in very cold weather conditions.

“It was nice to run inside for a change, but there was no water vapor in the air so your throat became very dry,” said Will Short (11).
