Action for Africa goes above and beyond

Every year, Manual’s Action for Africa hosts a fashion show/silent auction to raise money for Invisible Children. The money is then donated to an organization that strives to build schools and create safety in northern Uganda, where a war has taken place for over 25 years.

This year, Action for Africa is going above and beyond their usual fashion show and hosting a second show off campus to be held on April 23rd. After being drafted into helping out with the first fashion show, Micah McClain (11) decided to lead a second in the spring time. It will be sponsored by any willing donors of clothing, jewelry, or shoes.

“An idea occurred to me: why not do another fashion show in the spring?” said McClain, “I had all the resources at my fingertips, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands dirty.”
