The duPont Manual Lady Crimsons defeated the Mercy Jaguars 74-68 on Wednesday night and captured their 5th straight basketball district title. The Crimsons defeated Mercy Academy for the 5th consecutive year in the district 25 final. This victory ensures that Manual will play a district runner up in the first round of the regional tournament. Mechael Guess(12) and April Wilson(11) led the Crimsons with 13 points each, while Raven Hester(12) added 12 points of her own. Kayla Styles contributed 11 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 blocks to help Manual improve its record to 3-1 against the defending state champs, Mercy Academy.
