Lady Crimsons defeat Bowling Green 48-36

In the semi-final game for the Kentucky high school basketball state championship, the duPont Manual Lady Crimsons beat the Bowling Green Lady Purples 48-36 in a close game at Western Kentucky University’s basketball arena.
The teams were consistently within 5 points of each other throughout the whole game, with Bowling Green leading most of the time, until the beginning of the fourth quarter when Manual gained a 6 point lead. After this Manual scored six points while Bowling Green scored one in a free throw. At this point Manual was up 42-31 and Bowling Green called a time out.
With 3 minutes remaining the score was 46-32 (Manual). In those minutes Bowling Green scored four points but Manual retained the lead by scoring two more points and ending the game with a score of 48-36.
With the win, Manual will move on to face the winner of Butler vs. Marion County on Saturday March 12 at 10AM. The winner of that game will continue to the final round at WKU’s arena Saturday night at 8PM.
