YPAS play 13 is extended

The YPAS production of the play 13 was extended to May 18 because of its popularity and the revenue the school is receiving. The added matinee performance completely sold out as did the nightly performance this Friday. 13 tells the story of middle school students dealing with their preteen years.
“The play is about growing up, and finding out who you are and your way in life,” Alexander Kapp (10) said. Kapp plays the character of Malcom in 13. Students have been rehearsing for the play since late February.
“I thought 13 was really great. I was able to connect with the main character because he was this whiny Jewish kid who had all this angst that people weren’t really able to pick up on. Most people would see this angsty kid but I saw a troubled Jewish kid,” said junior Seth Fischer who grew up in a Jewish community.
Friday’s performance will be held on the YPAS mainstage at 7:30 PM and next week’s matinees will be held at 10:00 AM.
