September 17:

 

Animal Care Society will be holding their 8th-annual Bark in the Park, which begins at 9:00 A.M. at Seneca Park. Bring your dog! Admission is free. For more info call (502) 426-6303 or go to this website.

 

The National Jug Band Jubilee will be held at 1:00 P.M. at the Brown-Forman Ampitheater for anyone who enjoys folk music. Admission is free. For more info visit this website.

 

Wayward Actor’s Company will be presenting Avenue Q at The Kentucky Center, for a play starring puppets who act as regular adults. Tickets cost $16 and the performance starts at 8:00 P.M. For more info call (502) 584-7777.

 

There will be aSomeplace Special 5k Race at the Louisville Slugger Field. Pre-registration costs $15. There is an inflatable obstacle course for kids and food will be served after the race. For more info call (502) 212-2287.

 

The Red Cross will hold a Blood Drive at the American Red Cross Donor Center at 520 E. Chestnut St. from 7:00 A.M. to 1:15 P.M. Come down and help save some lives!

 

Farm Animal Feedings with Farmer Larry at Blackacre Preserve on 3200 Tucker Station Rd. is a free event where you can learn about farm animals and how to care for them. For more info call (502) 266-9802.

 

September 18:

 

Wayward Actor’s Company will be presenting, for the last time, Avenue Q at The Kentucky Center, for those who want to see it and can’t make it on Saturday, or just want to see it again. Tickets cost $16 and the performance starts at 2:00 P.M. For more info call (502) 584-7777.

 

The 4th Annual Louisville Festival of the Arts at the Summit will be held at The Summit, located at 9401 Brownsboro Road. All sorts of artists will be there to show off their artwork made with all sorts of mediums. Admission is free. For more info call (561) 746-6615.

 

The Downtown Doubler 15k/30k Race will be held at the Louisville Slugger Field on 401 E. Main St. from 7:30 – 11:30 AM. There is an entry fee of $35. The first 500 registrants will receive a long-sleeved running shirt. For more info call (502) 386-1502.
