duPont Dreamers push on despite lack of sponsor

The Step Team, also known as the duPont Manual Dreamers, is still in search of a sponsor as the student leaders try to organize tryouts.

“Once we find [a sponsor] we will have tryouts and there will officially be a Step Team,” said Mycala Baker (11). “That’s what we want and we will do anything to get it.”

The duPont Manual Dreamers performed at the homecoming pep-rally but not at the most recent, Red/White Week pep-rally. They are not currently holding practices.

“We can’t compete right now because we don’t have a team,” said Baker. “Once we get a team together we can start competing again like we have in the past.”

“It comes as a shock to me that the Dreamers still haven’t found a sponsor,” Mary King (10) said. “They are always so good.”
