Because of the First Amendment

A poem by Amber Pritchett

Because of the First Amendment, I am a very opinionated person.

Because of the First Amendment, I can give my all as a journalist.

Because of the First Amendment, my character is up for judgment and not my religion or opinion.

Because of the First Amendment, I am a proud U.S citizen.

Because of the First Amendment, I am Free. Free to speak my mind, to petition, to choose a religion, and to assembly.

Because of the First Amendment, I am who I am.
