Manual football team hard at work during off-season

Following their 55-0 defeat against Trinity high school in district play on November 11, the Manual football team is hitting the weight room in preparation for next season.

“It’s a time when you can find out who you really are. its a great way to test your limits both physically and mentally,” kicker Mitchell Kahle (10) said.

Every week Monday through Thursday after school the team does a variety of position specific workouts designed to boost speed, strength, and endurance.

“The main thing that we try to accomplish is to learn from the past and move forward toward a successful season next year,” offensive lineman Austin Baum (10) said. “We focus mainly on lifts to build overall strength as well as exercises to improve agility.”

The team will continue to work out until spring ball starts later in the year.
