Lady Crimsons win big tournaments

On Dec. 28-30, the duPont Manual Lady Crimsons went to a important tournament in Cincinnati, winning all three of their games.

The team was extremely happy that they had won all their games in one of the biggest tournaments of their season. “Those teams were a lot more competitive than anyone we have ever played, so to win those were important and exciting for us,” said Coach Stacey Pendleton.

“This was a a big game to us and the other players were really good; I thought we were close to losing,” said Erika Hawkins (10 )

The Lady Crimsons are ranked 17 in the naton, 34 on hoopgurlz, and their record is 14-0. They hope to stay undefeated the whole season and make it to the championship.

Previously, on Dec. 19-23, the Lady Crimsons defeated Mercy High School in the Republic Bank Tournament at Lexington Catholic High School, the biggest holiday tournament in Kentucky.
