Due to forecast of snow, JCPS announces possible early dismissal

It’s official: JCPS is considering an early dismissal today due to a forecast of snow.

According to Weather.com, it should start raining in the Louisville area at around 10 a.m. It will continue to rain throughout the day and, as the weather cools down through the afternoon, turn into an icy mix. By tonight, the Louisville area is projected to have a 70% chance of snow showers.

These conditions could make roads slippery and unsafe for students trying to get home.

The RedEye staff will continue to update this story as we get more information.
