Boys soccer loses to Eastern 2-1, ending their season

The boys soccer team hosted Eastern High School on Monday, Oct. 15 for the first round of the regional tournament. Eastern held off Manual, winning 2-1 and advancing to the next round of the tournament.

With this loss, the Crimsons’ season came to an end. Emotions were running high after the final horn blew. It was a devastating loss, especially for senior Patrick Frentz, who couldn’t hold back tears after his last game as a Crimson. “I was very upset. I didn’t think our season would end that night. Manual soccer has been such a big part of my life for a long time and I’ll truly miss it,” Frentz said.

Despite getting knocked off early in the tournament, the Crimsons are already working on improving their team chemistry in preparation for next season. A group of junior players have signed up for a club team to play in during the off-season. “Our coach suggested that we join the team. He said it would help improve our communication on the field so we can play to peoples strong areas in their game,” said Andrew Wood (11).
