Manual will play Sacred Heart Academy at Bellarmine University on Oct.22 to move on to the semi finals after beating Collegiate 1-0.

The team is trying to stay calm and keep a positive outlook for the game.

“I’ve just really been trying to not be too nervous,” said Macey Johnson (10), a member of the varsity team. “I feel good about the team,” said Johnson.

“We have a great group of talented student athletes. We have been doing the same thing all season, just trying to improve on our corners and our aggression,” asid Brittany Tolan, varsity field hockey coach. She said she was “very optimistic” for the outcome of the game.

The team has been preparing to face their rival Sacred Heart. They held a pasta dinner together on Oct. 21, wanting to spend more time together as a team to prepare for the game the following day.
