To celebrate Key Club Week, members of the club make holiday cards and stuff stockings to send to children in hospitals after their meeting on Thursday December 5, 2012. The volunteers also contribute refreshments to enjoy during the service project.
The finished cards pile up on the table to later be distributed to children in hospitals.
In addition to the cards, the volunteers stuff these stockings with candy.
At the meeting before the service project, Key Club president Jade Glore (12) helps members Melissa Nadeau (12) and Kyla Grant (11) check their hours.
Each member who makes a card gets one service hour to go towards the 25 they have to get each semester for Key Club.
Katherine Raible (11) covers her card in holiday decorations and messages.
Madison Thompson (11) thinks creatively for her card, starting with a cup of hot chocolate.
Jay Kumar (11) and Holly Smith (11) help each other think of designs for their cards. Since it was Key Club Week, Smith also wore her Key Club t-shirt to get an additional hour.
For an additional service point, the members bring in food to eat while working on the project.
Catherine Sar (11) and Davis Hale (11) collaborate on their holiday cards.
Jim Kim (11) takes full advantage of the refreshments brought in for Key Club Week.
Brigette Schuman (11) concentrates on the card that she is making for a charity.
