VA seniors hold December art show

On Thursday, December 13th, VA held a senior art show.

Nine VA majors in all were featured in the show, entitled “Pretty Simple.”

All of the seniors worked together to make the decorations and organize the whole thing, with the help of some of the VA teachers. “It was good. I wouldn’t do it again because it was so hectic, but it was an excellence experience,” Marilyn Holmes (12) said.

Before the night of the show, students, parents and friends were welcomed to stop by after school for refreshments and view the show.

“I loved the show!” Ms. Cynthia Young (VA) said, “Every show is great, and each one keeps raising the bar for the next.”

The show can still be viewed in the VA art gallery for a few more days.

The show, varying greatly from the last VA senior show in November that included mainly self-portraits of students, also had a different theme display than the previous show.

The December show displayed clear glass ornaments and gold origami figures hanging in the middle of and throughout the gallery.

The types of pieces varied from all types of mediums, but almost all were full of color.
