Cheerleading tryouts will be held on Monday

Try outs to join the duPont Manual cheerleading team will take place on Monday, April 15.

The tryouts will last 4 days, and the performing athletes will be judged by a panel. The team members will be announced on Friday, April 19.

“During that process, we will evaluate the athletes’ ability to stunt, tumble, jump, and dance as well as their overall work ethic, conditioning, spirit, and sportsmanship,” said Holly Logsdon, the cheer coach.

All current members have to try out again and you are not guaranteed a spot even though there is no number limit of cheerleaders to join the team.

“I am nervous to try out but I always am, and I’ve made it the past two years so I feel pretty confident I will make it again,” said Cameron Mader (10) a current Manual cheerleader.
