Greg Kuhn named JCPS High School Assistant Principal of the Year

On Aug. 6, a group of his peers and other assistant principals named Greg Kuhn High School Assistant Principal of the Year in JCPS at the Administrators’ Retreat.

In order to be assistant principal of the year a candidate must be nominated by one of his/her fellow administrative peers. After the nominations are finished, all of the high school assistant principals are invited to vote for the nominee whom they view to be the best candidate for the award.

Amy Dennes nominated Mr. Kuhn for the award. “Mr. Kuhn was nominated because he is a strong leader. He is dedicated to students and their success. He is organized and creative,” Dennes said.

“I was honestly surprised I received the award and almost embarrassed,” said Mr. Kuhn.

Mr. Kuhn’s success as an author also contributed to his community standing amongst his peers. “Because he is the author of several books books, he is well-known in the community,” Dennes said.

“She thinks I’m awesome,” said Kuhn.

“The award is a testament to the students and teachers here at Manual. It’s so much fun working with students and teachers here,” said Kuhn. “I feel humbled by the experience.”
