This event began as an effort to raise money for lymphoma research. This year, the theme has changed but the purpose is still the same. There will be signs placed throughout the race with movie quotes, and identifying the movies they come from will result in prizes from Family Video. It’s not meant just for dedicated runners, so there will also be a 1 mile fun run/walk for the whole family.

As a 13-piece “little orchestra,” Pink Martini’s music follows some traditional standards, but with a unique flair. It combines smooth jazz with vibrant classical music and features occasional foreign lyrics, namely French and Spanish. This concert would be excellent for fans of the group Jazzamor, or anyone who likes contemporary twists on classics.

In the past few years, he has worked with Lady Gaga and Amy Winehouse. This could be a once in a lifetime opportunity for people who appreciate older music.
