TWIMA: Aug. 21-27

Field Hockey

The field hockey team is competing in the annual Apple Tournament at Sacred Heart from Monday through Friday. Game times have yet to be announced. Check Manual Athletics on Twitter throughout the week for game dates and times.

Football

After being beaten 7-0 by Central in the opening game of the season, the boys will face off against Fern Creek this week. JV will play on Monday at duPont Manual Memorial Stadium at 5:30 pm and the freshmen will play at Manual stadium at 5:30 on Thursday. The varsity team will play on Friday at Fern Creek at 7:30 pm.

Volleyball

The girls placed second in the JCPS Invitational last week, this week they will play Mercy on Tuesday. Freshmen at 5:00 pm, Jv at 6:00 pm, and Varsity at 8:00 pm and all games will be at Mercy. They play against Brown on Thursday at Brown. Freshmen at 5:00 pm, JV at 6:00 pm, and Varsity at 7:30 pm.

Boys’ Soccer

After a 6-4 loss to North Oldham last Wednesday the boys will play Butler on Monday at Farnsley Golf Course. The freshmen will play at 5:00 pm on Monday. On Tuesday the varsity team will travel to Collegiate for a matchup with one of Kentucky’s top teams from 2016. JV will play at 5:30 pm and Varsity at 7:00 pm.

Girls’ Soccer

After a 3-2 win over Oldham County on Wednesday the girls are ready to play at Bethlehem. JV will play at 6:00 pm and Varsity will play at 7:30 pm. On Wednesday they will battle Bullitt East at duPont Manual Memorial Stadium. JV will play at 5:30 pm and Varsity will play at 7:00 pm.

Boys’ Golf

The boys’ golf team is set to play Eastern on Monday at Long Run Golf Course. They will then play again Wednesday against Collegiate at Cherokee Golf Course, and again on Thursday when they face Oldham County at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course. All matches this week will start at 4:00 pm.

Girls’ Golf

The girls will play against Mercy on Thursday at Shawnee Golf Course at 3:30.

Cross Country

Cross county will start off the season on Tuesday, competing in the Fern Creek Relays at Charlie Vettiner Park. They then will compete in Tiger Run at Champions Park on Saturday.
