YPAS Guitar Performance

The YPAS guitar ensemble will perform on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. at the Mainstage. More information can be found on YPAS’ website.

YPAS Piano

Several YPAS piano students won WUOL’s Young Artist Competition. Sarah Martel (11, YPAS), Harin Oh (11, YPAS) and Chris Liu (12, YPAS) all placed in the contest. The three students performed a recital on Wednesday, Nov. 22 that aired on 90.5 WUOL.

Freshman wins HALO Award

Nickelodeon recently recognized Andrew Dunn (9, J&C) for his non-profit Random Acts of Kindness Louisville. The show aired at 7 p.m. this past Sunday, Nov. 26. You can read the full story and interview with Dunn on RedEye.

Zeta Phi Beta Scholarship

The Zeta Phi Beta Scholarship is a scholarship for students “to Shape our communities through scholarship and service to Others.” The deadline to apply is Dec. 1. More information can be found on the Finer Pearls Foundation’s website.

Vogt Educational & Leadership Scholarship

The Vogt Educational & Leadership Scholarship is open to JCPS seniors. Applicants must have “demonstrated leadership in school, extra-curricular and community activities.” The deadline is Nov. 29 at 4:30 p.m. More information can be found on the Community Foundation of Louisville’s website.
