Manual’s wrestling team lost to Central High School and DeSales High School on January 9, 2013.
Playing at DeSales High School, the team was defeated 41-33 by DeSales and 43-28 by Central. However, despite the loss, the team is hopeful for future opportunities. “We showed that we have a lot of potential,” Daniel Segal (10) said. “I think we can improve on just going hard in practice and understanding that to get better we have to work hard and just listen to coach. If we do that, our team could be great.”
Some individual wrestlers stood out as well. “(Sophomore) Jonathan Ryan and (Junior) Ben Koby both did well,” Brett Salings (10) said.
The team’s next meet will be Saturday, January 12. The meet will be at Southern High School, and the team will be competing against Southern, Male, PRP, St. Xavier and Atherton.
