There will be lots of stuff to do around Louisville this weekend, from festivals, plays and even some basketball.
Festival of Trees & Lights 2019
The 30th anniversary Festival of Trees & Lights will begin on Friday, Nov. 15, and end Sunday, Nov. 17. There will be hundreds of decorated trees, wreaths and décor all for sale to raise funds for Norton Children’s Hospital. Other activities include photos with Santa, children’s crafts, holiday entertainment and Hanukkah activities. Both kids and the young at heart will love the ride-on train, sweet shops, gift shop and outdoor activities.
The Dinner Detective Interactive Murder Mystery Show
Saturday, Nov. 16, from 6-9 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Downtown Louisville Hotel, The Dinner Detective Murder Mystery will be going on. Your ticket includes an evening of dining, comedy, and mystery. You’ll tackle a hilarious and challenging crime while you feast on a fantastic dinner. Tickets for this event cost $59.95 per person and only persons above 15 will be allowed in.
Disney’s The Lion King
This weekend, The Whitney Hall will be featuring the musical The Lion King. There will be five performances, one on Friday, two on Saturday and two on Sunday. Tickets for the event cost $35. There will be an open bar and food available for purchase.
Louisville Men’s Basketball
The University of Louisville Men’s basketball team will be playing North Carolina Central on Sunday at 5 p.m. at the KFC Yum! Center. The Cardinals are coming in hot off a three-game winning streak to start the season. Louisville is ranked fourth in the nation.

2019 Jingle Bell Run – Louisville, KY
This Saturday, Nov. 16, the Arthritis Foundation will be hosting the Jingle Bell Run at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park at 9 a.m. This event is used to raise money for arthritis research and helping to find a cure. You can register for the event either Friday or Saturday.
