Dear Manual Family,
The search for practices that best serve our students and families is always my intention as principal of Manual High School. A recent publication of a dress expectation survey unfortunately did not present my efforts to do such. For that I do apologize. Every student and parent has the right to attend a school without structures in place that intentionally or unintentionally create any racial or gender biases or inequality issues. Manual has a very inclusive and diverse population. This for me is a point of celebration, not a platform for the opposite. Therefore, dress expectations must reflect that. I will make this right. I want all stakeholders to know that I strive to uphold the best and truest traditions for our students, Excellence, Diversity and Tradition.
