This week in Manual athletics: Oct. 5-10

Cross country:

Last week in the Louisville XC Classic, Jessica Secor finished 2nd in the girls’ 5,000 meters. On the boys’ side of the 5,000 meters, Cooper Sainclair placed 3rd while Ryan Barrett finished 10th overall. This Saturday, the team will compete in the Haunted Woods Classic.

Field hockey:

After defeating both Male and Mercy last week, the field hockey team will have three games this week. Monday, they will host North Oldham at 7:30, Tuesday will be another home game versus Assumption at 7:30. To finish their week, they will travel to KCD (Kentucky Country Day) to play at 7:30.

Football:

Following a 41-3 win against Eastern Thursday, the Crimsons will travel to play St. Xavier Friday at 7:30.

Boys’ soccer:

This week is the last of regular season play for the boy’s soccer team. They will have three games, the first is Tuesday at home versus Louisville Collegiate starting at 7. Next, they will play Thursday at Eastern with a 7:30 start time. To end their week on Saturday, they will travel to Collins to play at 11.

Girls’ soccer:

The girls’ soccer team will also finish their regular season this week. Their first game will be on Tuesday hosting Atherton at 5:30. On Thursday, they play at home against Sacred Heart starting at 7. To end the Lady Crimson’s season they will travel to Male to play at 6.
