WISE (Women in Science and Engineering) has begun planning their annual Expo held at the LG&E Building every March. Currently, members are splitting into groups to prepare activities and find contributors to fund the event.

The Expo gathers several elementary school students to participate in activities to improve their confidence in problem solving. The activities in the past have included Scientific Bingo to constructing a circuit out of a light bulb and other materials.

“The Expo has been generally well received and has been a fun experience for the students involved,” said Kathy Fries (Science), who has been the sponsor of WISE since last year.
