On Nov. 6, Manual students gathered in the gym at 1:40 p.m. to celebrate the girls’ cross country team second win at state on Nov. 5.
Speeches were given by Mr. Mayes, Coach Carmony, and cross country coach Mr. Holman.
Special recognition was given to Myecia Bright (10, HSU) for being the 6th ranked sophomore in the state along with Taylor Boggess(10, HSU), Kennedy Duncan(12, HSU), and Anna Keyzer (9, J&C).

“The team was super excited, you don’t normally get the opportunity to compete for a state opportunity, much less win one twice,” Holman said.
Due to more team bonding, the team was able to be successful on and off the course.
“We had a very close team and seniors did a great job integrating the younger team mates into the practices,” Holman said.
