The first evening performance of the New Works Festival will take place on Friday. There are also performances on March 15, 20, 21 and 22. This show is completely run by students; the script, the directing, the casting, the acting, the technicalities, etc. Students are encouraged to attend the New Works Festival at least one morning or evening. Come and watch your friend(s) of Manual perform and show their true talent(s)!

This Louisville band recently released their self-titled album and are ready to celebrate. They are known as a “roots rock band.” This show will also feature Moonlight Peddlers and DJ Matt Anthony.

The second annual art show hosted by the Louisville Visual Art Association (squared=second…get it?). This gallery will display art of which the artist is unknown. Art pieces will be available for purchase, but the artist will always remain anonymous. The work of over 200 local artists will be displayed– 8×8 pieces which can be purchased for $100. Proceeds go to the LVAA’s Children’s Fine Arts Classes program.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade @ The Highlands

Although the St. Patrick’s Day parade is commonly centered around drinking at all of the local bars in the Highlands, it can still be fun for teenagers! This year marks the 41st annual parade, and themed “It’s a Great Day for the Irish.” Get your spot early to receive your tootsie rolls and green beads! The high for Saturday is 63 degrees, so after the parade, you can enjoy a nice walk through the Highlands.
Youth Rights Conference @ Muhammad Ali Center

The Youth Rights Conference is hosted by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). This is a student-led conference focused on issues “selected by, and for, young people.” This year’s theme is “Bridging Differences, Building Possibilities.” The conference is open to all high school students.
