The baseball team looks to end their season on a high note despite currently having a losing record of 9-18.
The team plays five games this week after back-to-back losses on Saturday, May 14 against Pleasure Ridge Park, who won 9-1, and Newport Central Catholic, who defeated the Crimsons 8-5.
“We have played one of the toughest schedules in the state,” said Junior catcher Josh Bynum, “but most of the teams we play this upcoming week are easy teams so we should be riding a winning streak going into the postseason.”
The Crimsons play Louisville Male in the District Tournament on Tuesday, May 24. If they win, they play Saint Xavier in the finals of the tournament and automatically proceed to the Regional Tournament.
The Crimsons’ first game this upcoming week is against Atherton at Derby City Field on Monday, May 16.
