1. Capitalizing on opportunities
In the 43-7 loss to Male last Friday night, the Crimsons missed several key opportunities. Bryce Cosby (11, #7) dropped an easy pick six which led to a Male touchdown a few plays later. Troy Henderson (10, #29) ran for a 58 yard touchdown, but it was called back on a holding call that forced the Crimsons to punt. If Manual can take advantage of their opportunities, it will put major pressure on the Eagles.
2. Offensive consistency
Last week, the Crimsons only put up 92 yards of total offense with an astonishing one yard in the second half. Star receiver Jailen Carter (11, #11) had only one catch for -4 yards. If the Crimsons want to have success Friday and going into the playoffs, offensive production is key. If Manual can convert on some drives and move the ball efficiently, this team will no doubt come away victorious.
3. Getting the defense off the field
Several times in the game against Male, the Crimsons had the Bulldogs in a 3rd and long situation, but couldn’t get off the field. That can really demoralize a defense, as it did to Manual last week. If the Crimsons can string a few stops together and finish off defensive possessions, Eastern is in for a long night.
Prediction: Manual will come out motivated after the tough loss last week and take it to the Eagles and win 31-7
