Baseball:
It was a spring break full of fun for the baseball team as they traveled to the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex where they split the four games they played. They had two solid wins that included a 10-0 drubbing of another Kentucky school, Ashland and a 5-4 extra inning win against Paideia High School (GA). The team fell to Eastern High School (NJ) 13-7 and Lakeland Regional High School (NJ) 11-8. The trip was a great way or the team to build chemistry and play some teams outside of the state of Kentucky. The team now heads home and will get focused for a road test against district foe Central on Tuesday. First pitch set for 6:00 p.m.
Softball:
Like the baseball team, the Lady Crimsons traveled to the ESPN complex. They went in looking to make their mark during their time down there and they certainly did. The team finished with an unblemished record of 3-0. They defeated previously unbeaten Holy Name (OH) 2-1, Oneida (TN) 4-1 and then capped it off by beating West Jessamine 7-1. The team is starting to find its rhythm and wins over very good out of state schools really boosts the team’s confidence going forward. They now await a home matchup against Bullitt East on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.
