2018 – 2019 Mission Statement

The Manual RedEye staff promises to adhere to the journalistic principles of truth, transparency and independence as an interactive public forum. With credible, objective and quality multimedia content, we strive to both inform and represent the diversity of the Manual and Louisville communities.

Manual RedEye as a public forum

Manual RedEye accepts external submissions in the form of content and comments. We are a public forum for our readers and suggest that you interact with our content by commenting on our posts and creating your own. We take submissions of opinions and editorials, news and sports photography, cartoons/illustrations and multimedia pieces. Our audience reaches both the Manual and Louisville communities with a weekly viewership of several thousand.

We are part of The Crimson Student Press Network run out of the Journalism and Communication Magnet at duPont Manual High School located on 120 West Lee Street in Louisville, Kentucky. You can call the main office at (502) 485-8241. Our adviser is Mr. James Miller and this year’s Editor-in-Chief is Piper Hansen.
