Liz Palmer is the founding adviser of Manual RedEye. After helping to launch the student newsmagazine On the Record, which she advised for nine years, she was excited to return to the RedEye newsroom and jump back into breaking news. As chair of the Journalism & Communication magnet, she has led initiatives over her 18 years at Manual that have helped J&C earn a national reputation for excellence. Notably, she advised students on an investigative report that prompted the resignation of a top official and reforms within Kentucky State Police training programs.
