Paoli Peaks open after closing due to lack of snow

Paoli Peaks, an alpine ski resort, opened later than expected due to the lack of snow. Although it was closed during winter break, it opened for the new season on Jan. 3rd and is following its regular schedule.

“It’s not likely for that the resort will close again this winter but if the weather is 50 -60 degrees for 7 or more days consistently than it is possible,” employee Lauren Thompson said.

“I was a little upset because I was actually planning on going over the Winter Break, but I do still plan on going soon,” Irina Kakovkina (11) said.

The resort, located in Paoli, Indiana, includes snow tubing, skiing, and snowboarding.
