Junior Ring dance is fast approaching! The dance will be held on the first Friday after Spring Break, April 20, at the Mellwood Arts and Entertainment Center in Ballroom #3. The dance will last from 9 p.m. to midnight, and administrators encourage students to arrange for prompt pick-up after the dance. Tickets will cost $30 per person and are non refundable. The ticket cost will cover admission to the dance, one free professional wallet photo of you and your date, coat check, and desserts. Drinks will be sold for $1. Tickets sales will continue through the week after spring break. If students want to bring a guest from another school they will need to pick one up from the Main Office. All guests must be 21 or younger or have the permission of the principal to attend.

Manual High School’s Junior Prom, or Ring Dance, has traditionally been held at the Mellwood Arts and Entertainment Center (aside from last year’s Junior Class, which held theirs on Millionaire’s Row at Churchill Downs). As per tradition the dance will also be decorated in the theme, voted on by the Junior Prom Committee, “A Night in Paris”. Juniors are highly anticipating the theme, “What I’m most excited for about our prom is to see how they execute the ‘Night in Paris’ theme. When I picture it I think of bright, star like lights and everything just being really cool. So I can’t wait to see how it all comes together.” Tara Rohlier (11) said.
