Marching Band Invited to Play in Mayor Parade

On Wednesday, members of Manual’s marching band were informed via e-mail that they were invited to participate in the Mayor’s Parade. The parade will take place on January 3rd, Inauguration Day, when Greg Fischer will be sworn in as the new mayor of Louisville. He will be taking the place of  Jerry Abramson, mayor of 8 years.

“While I’m pretty excited for when band goes to Disney World later this year, I know this parade is a great honor and shows how our hard work has really paid off,” said Marching Band member, Mikey Maloney (11).

As Marching Band prepares for the parade, other festivities are being planned to mark the occasion.
