Senior Signing Ceremony

On February 6, 2013, eight seniors for the class of 2013 made official where they will be attending college at this years Senior Signing Ceremony. The Senior Signing Ceremony is held every year to acknowledge the seniors that will be playing sports at the college they’re attending. The eight seniors that signed last Wednesday are as follows:

Josh Brentlinger

Football

Lindsey Wilson College

Patrick Frentz

Men’s Soccer

Presbyterian College

Juan Gardner

Football

Western Kentucky University

Brian Hobbs

Football

Centre College

Hannah Kingsbury

Field Hockey

Ohio University

Dishan Romine

Football

Naval Academy

Kelsi White

Field Hockey

Miami University (Ohio)

MacKenzie Zimmer

Womens Soccer

Georgetown College

The signing day was especially emotional for Dishan Romine as he finally made up his mind after juggling future colleges all year. “I ended up going with the Naval Academy because if I go there I’ll get a good education and have a 100% chance of getting a job right out of college,” Romine said.

Most seniors, like Dishan, experience feelings of nervousness and strong emotion before they walked up on stage to address the crowd. “Before the signing, my mind was racing. I was so nervous and excited all at the same time, I had been looking forward to that day for a long time,” Patrick Frentz said.
