Miniscule Manual memoirs

Image for 6 word story“For Sale: Baby shoes. Never worn.”

According to legend, Ernest Hemingway answered a challenge from fellow writers of the Algonquin Roundtable that he could write a story that would make readers cry in a mere six words.  His story gave birth to a rich history of people penning their own six-word memoirs over the years.

You don’t have to try to make anyone cry, but in an effort to get to know you better, Principal Mayes challenges you to write a six-word memoir to tell your Manual story, and we’ll publish the most enticing (and school appropriate) submissions in print in issue #2 of the Crimson Record or online at Manual Redeye.

You can submit your story here or you can tweet your story to @theCSPN with the hashtag #manual6WS.
