Dazzlers, cheerleaders win; Dreamers prepare

The duPont Manual Dreamers step team is preparing for its last competition of the school year on Saturday, March 26th at Central High School.

“Of course our competition is Central and it’s at Central, but that just means we have to kill it that much harder. We’ll be in enemy territory, [so] we have no choice but to show out,” said Naiyana Williams (12).

The duPont Manual Dazzlers and cheerleaders have just returned from their last competition of the school year. The Dazzlers placed first at NDA in Orlando, Florida, for Small Varsity Hip Hop, and seventh place for their jazz performance. The cheerleading team won their last competition of the school year, and while currently in “dead time”, they will be holding tryouts in May.

“[This is] just a time where we can work on our individual skills and improve our stunting,” said Karen Powell (11).
