Think Outside the Magnet: YPAS student juggles

Marty Chester (9, YPAS) is an actor with an unusual skill: juggling. Although this stage act is closer to Marty’s magnet than beatboxing is to MST, this talent is scarce among the YPAS community.

“In theatre, the more stuff that you can learn how to do, the better off you are in a professional setting. And that’s one of the things I like most about the fact that I can juggle, it’s one of those things that sets me apart.”

Chester not only juggles in his free time but participates in an event called the American Turners circus.

“It’s this really giant showcase of all these different skills. Me and this group of guys get together and do juggling there and try to practice our craft,” Chester said.

Along with all of his extracurriculars and magnet-related duties, he makes time for this skill. “It’s something that I’m really passionate about, and something that I want to improve upon.”

Marty mentioned that he loves juggling to dub step, due to its rhythmic beats and dramatic transitions. So we put that into effect here:
