“King Lear” @ Nancy Niles Sexton Theater (Walden Theater)

This play, written by William Shakespeare, is about a king who splits his kingdom up for his three daughters based on their level of love and respect for him. His favorite daughter fails to please him, so he banishes her from the kingdom. The “true regard” of his other daughters is revealed and he soon falls into madness.

“Kill Your Darlings” showing @ UofL’s Floyd Theater

Austin Bunn, a former UofL creative writer, co-wrote the film “Kill Your Darlings.” It won a top prize at the Venice Film Festival. The film features Michael C. Hall, the man who played Dexter in the HBO show “Dexter.”

“PINK” @ UofL’s Student Activities Center

$10 (students $5), 8pm

UofL students are presenting their annual “PINK” benefit, a “drag and variety show” which will raise money for the University of Louisville’s LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) Center. It is the longest running fundraiser on the campus.
