Things to do during Derby week!

  • May 6: Derby Festival Chow Wagon, admission free with a 2011 Pegasus Pin. Held at Waterfront Park from 11 am to 11 pm.
  • May 6: Barenaked Ladies at Fourth Street Live. 5 pm.
  • Gallery Exhibit at the Louisville Slugger Museum. Going on for all of May. Regular admissions required to see the exhibit.
  • May 6: Kentucky Oaks! Tickets are $25 at Churchill Downs. Like the Derby, this is an all day event!
  • Impressionist Landscape exhibit at the Speed Art Museum. $5 for members, $10 for non-members. Going on until May 22.
  • May 7: Free Comic Book Day 2011! If you like reading, collecting, or making comics of your own, then this event is for you! This event is an all-day event hosted by The Great Escape, (2433 Bardstown Road) The Zone, (291 Hubbards Lane) Book & Music Exchange, (5400 Preston Highway) & Pet Shop Comics (1191 Hillview Blvd.) This is a FREE event for all ages
  • May 7: The Kentucky Derby! An all day event at Churchill Downs. Tickets are $40.
