Students to participate in the Kentucky Student Voice Survey to evaluate teachers

Students will evaluate their teachers this week through the Kentucky Student Voice Survey, a requirement from Teacher Professional Growth and Effectiveness System (TPGES) through the Kentucky Department of Education.

The survey is “a classroom level reporting system used to provide formative feedback and evidence of effectiveness to classroom teachers and school administrators,” Mr. Matt Kingsley (Administration) said in an email.

The results from the survey will be used to help determine teachers’ Overall Professional Practice Rating. The survey provides feedback by asking students to rate their teachers in areas like “my teacher explains difficult things clearly” and “my teacher respects my ideas and suggestions.”

Teachers will take their class to a computer lab according to this schedule and students will login to Infinite Campus to access the survey.
