“Night Vision” art show on display at Manual

On Thursday, March 9, the fourth senior art show, “Night Vision,” opened in the Norma E. Brown gallery. The show features work from nine Visual Art seniors: Ally Doctrow, Sophia Smith,Dillon Pinholster, David Ferreira, Charlie Bosco, Colby McClendon, Morgan Betsill, Logan Smith and Leigh Nicholson.

The senior art show is a culmination of a week or so worth of work in the setup and design of the gallery and multiple years worth of work in the assembly of the senior’s art.

“Its nice to see all of the hard work come to fruition. Everybody kinda sucked freshman year but all of us taking our own styles and coming forward with all of that and turning into good artists by the end of it, that’s pretty cool,” Dillon Pinholster (12, VA) said.

The senior art shows always attract a big crowd on opening night and impacts the Manual community.

Adam Jones (12, MST) visited the show and enjoyed how his peers could show their work.

“I just love seeing all of the talent the arts have and it’s a really great show,” Jones said.

Many of the artists have been preparing and getting better throughout their visual arts career and it is fully display at the night of the show.

“A lot of my friends are in the show and I wanted to come and support them, it’s just so cool to see how much they have grown and how hard they have worked,” Kate Anderson (12, YPAS) said.

The art show will be available in the Norma E. Brown gallery until Friday, March 17.
