All students interested in running for Student Senate can get the application here.

The Student Senate is a group of representatives from every magnet that meet every week to discuss the issues facing the student body. The members then bring their ideas to the Site Based Decision Making Council (SBDM).

Last year’s Senate successful in installing the “Central Flyer” hub in the Senior cafeteria where administrators could post important messages to the student body.  Another accomplishment of the Student Senate was a new rule that made all teachers in the same course give out the same summer assigments, and required that the assignments would have to count as a part of the first six weeks’ grade in that class.

The deadline to sign up for Student Senate will be this friday, August 19.
