R/W Week 2018: Manual students sumo wrestle and more at the carnival

Manual’s Executive Council held its annual carnival today after school as part of the celebration of Red/White Week.

The carnival included a variety of games food, and music for students and staff to enjoy.

“We start preparing at the very beginning of the school year for a few weeks so we can make sure that we have enough prizes, games and food,” head organizer of the carnival, Mr. Tyler Morris (Math) said.

One popular event was sumo wrestling. Manual students got together in pairs to face off in big sumo suits.

Other activities like duck dunking and twister were available to the students.

The dunking booth was a popular attraction for students to dunk their teachers and other Manual faculty. Math teacher Mr. Morris got into the booth and gave students a shot to dunk him.

“During each carnival, we see what the students like and start gathering ideas for next years carnival to be more prepared,” Mr. Morris said.
