Manual student chosen to attend the Middle Level Education Conference

On Nov. 10, Parker Bowling (12) attended the Middle Level Education 38th Annual Conference with Jefferson County’s superintendent, Donna Hargens, and Kentucky’s Commissioner of Education, Terry Holliday.

Bowling was the only student invited because of his noticeable participation in the President Project. He had the privilege of listening to the Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan, deliver a speech on improving education.

“I am really honored to be a part of such an important event, involving some of America’s top leaders. This event [addressed] one of the country’s leading issues and something I am very passionate about,” Bowling said.

Morgan Loy is a senior in CMA. She is the people’s section editor for the yearbook and a staff writer for Manual Redeye. She hopes to use everything she has learned in communications and apply it to her future career.
