This week in Manual athletics: Sept. 30 – Oct. 4

 Football 

After defeating North Bullitt last week, the football team will have one game this week. On Thursday, they will travel to Eastern to face off against the Eagles at 7.

 

Volleyball 

The volleyball team will have three games this week. On Monday, they will travel to Brown to play at 6. Following that game, on Wednesday, they will host Eastern at home at 7. This game will be a Crimson/Ram card event. Finally, on Friday and Saturday, they will participate in the Jefferson County Invitational Volleyball Tournament, which will take place at the Ohio Valley Volleyball Center. The game times for this tournament are TBA. 

Girls’ Soccer

After defeating both Central and Pleasure Ridge Park last week and then tying Greenwood and losing to Evansville Memorial over the weekend, the girls’ soccer team will only have one game this week. On Thursday, they will travel to St. Henry to play at 5:30.

Boys’ Soccer

After defeating St. Francis and Lexington Catholic last week, the boys’ soccer team is on the road with three away games this week. On Monday, they will travel to Collegiate to play at 7. Then, on Tuesday, they will travel to South Oldham to play at 7:30. Finally, on Thursday, they will play Oldham County at 7:30. This game will be held at Oldham County. 

Cross Country

Last week, the Cross Country team participated in the Triple M 4k meet. They girls’ team placed first with 9 top 10 finishes and the boys’ team placed second. This week, both teams will travel to Terre Haute, Indiana on Saturday to participate in the Nike Valley Twilight  race. The girls’ race will start at 8:15, and the boys’ race will start at 8:45. 

 

Field Hockey

After making it to the semi-finals of the Husky Invitational last week with two ties against Lake Forest and Huron, a win over Loyola and a loss to New Trier, the field hockey team will have two games this week. On Tuesday, they will host their senior night against Mercy at Rachel Baker field at 7. This is a Crimson/Ram card event. Then, on Thursday, they will travel to Kentucky Country Day to play at 6:45. 

Girls’ Golf

The girls’ golf team will begin their postseason play this week with their regional tournament on Monday at Wessinger hills. The time for this tournament is TBA. 

Boys’ Golf

The boys’ golf team will also begin postseason play this week with their regional tournament. This tournament will be held at Seneca Golf Course on Tuesday. The start time for this tournament is TBA.
