There are lots of things to do around Louisville this weekend! Here’s some of our favorites. 

Soul Music Fest with Keith Sweat and Anthony Hamilton

Louisville Soul Music Fest returns to the KFC Yum! Center on Saturday, November 9 and will feature Keith Sweat and Anthony Hamilton. Sweat and Hamilton are very well established R&B artists, and they will be joined by Angie and Joe Scott. Tickets are available at ticketmaster.com

Disney’s The Lion King

This Saturday, the Kentucky Center for the Arts will be featuring the musical The Lion King. There will be two performances on Saturday. One showing at 2 p.m., and another showing at 8 p.m. Tickets are $35 and there will be an open bar and food available for purchase.

JCPenny’s Kids Zone

On Saturday, Nov. 9 JCPenny’s locations around Louisville will be hosting a “Kids Zone” from 11 a.m. to noon. Kids will be able to make arts and crafts and receive collectable pins. Parents who drop their kids off at the Kids Zone are offered a coupon for 10% off of at that location. The kids will be looking forward to a Frozen 2 event.

Holiday Vendor and Craft Fair

 It’s just in time to get all of your shopping done at one place. They will have a variety of booths, with handcrafted works and convenience items for sale. This is a good time to get presents and decorations for the holidays, birthdays and parties.This event will be held at Boulevard Christian Church in their gym. 

KMAC Free Family Fun Day

Family Fun Days are free drop-in workshop for families and friends of all ages. One Saturday a month, join KMAC educators in the Education Studio from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to make a variety of free art activities. Attendees will learn textiles, crochet and embroidery. There will also be time for questions and to show materials and displays. These events are held at the KMAC Museum on West Main Street.
